A visit to Eshott Hall, Northumberland

12 Sep 2016

Today, exactly one year ago, my good friend Emma married her dashing husband Stuart at Eshott Hall, Northumberland. We had a wonderful time celebrating with the newlyweds and it seems like the last year has gone by in the blink of an eye. It's a bittersweet memory as we returned home to find Marmalade missing, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. Unfortunately we were so caught up in the celebrations that we didn't take many pictures of the day itself, but we took lots of the venue.

Eshott Hall is a gorgeous country house with high ceilings and tastefully decorated rooms - like something out of a Jane Austen novel - and the grounds are extensive and well matched to the idyllic rural setting. It's also within easy reach by car of Morpeth town centre for local amenities. It's a perfect breakaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Here are slightly more than a few of our pictures - enjoy :-)

Have you been to any weddings recently? Where's your favourite country retreat?
