Still patiently awaiting The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (which is probably a good thing considering the coursework I should be doing) and it seems almost within reach now excepting some unbelievable calamities.

I emailed Game.co.uk again to chase this one up (i’ve been waiting since 17th March!) and they assured me it had been resent special delivery as promised and gave me the tracking number. Then, the next day I found a little Royal Mail slip in my post box stating that the sender had not paid enough to post the item. It turns out this was only six pence less than required (after you takeaway a one pound ‘handling fee’ ?!).

The item, according to the website, being held in a delivery office the other side of London (why? surely there’s a closer one?), I decided to go with the option of paying the fee online and having them redeliver the item.

The next day – wow that was fast – I got a message from my dad to say a special delivery item has arrived. Perplexed as to what this could be seeing as I had not arranged anything to be sent to their address, I asked him to open it. What do you think he found? Fucking Elder Scrolls that’s what! After Game advising me that they couldn’t change the delivery address mid-order so the item would be delivered to my uni address!

We are most definitely not amused – especially considering I order Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force from Play.com and it arrived in two days. (Elite Force is quite good by the way, expect a review soon). I’ve also ordered Sudden Strike 2 which is on its way.

Game have really let me down this time although I have to admit the lovely girl in customer services is very prompt with her responses!

Anyway…i’m off to watch Rex the Runt series one which has just arrived on iTunes. The original Captain Scarlet is also on iTunes but at a hefty £60. I’m tempted to by an episode at a time but I may as well just get it online elsewhere – Both Play.com and Amazon have it for £50 according to a very quick search. Oh and I got all five of the Planet of the Apes films today from HMV for £10!=)
