Wow, I didn’t realise I hadn’t posted since last sunday! I’ve been waiting for that stupid upload problem to be fixed (no joy so far) and just generally been busy.
I’ve just been to York for the weekend to see Falling. I’m going back down next tuesday night as i’ve taken wed/thurs/fri off because it’s her graduation ball on wednesday evening. She’s talked me out of wearing a kilt *cries* as it’s not very practical for the occasion – it’s a bar/disco/casino/fairground thing and ‘smart-casual’. Plus i’d be worrying about losing my sporran all night=S In a compromise, i’m insisting that i’ll wear a kilt to my sister’s wedding in January ’07 =)
I was playing Eve quite a bit last week – i’ve started asteroid mining. I’m not a serious miner as I don’t go after the rare ores and my ship isn’t the best for it, but by mining in high security areas for 2-3 hours a night I managed to make over a million ISK in 3/4 nights. It’s not that much, believe me, but to see your bank balance jump from 30k to 1,000,000 that quick is comforting to say the least. That said there are people who rake in atleast a million a night so I have a long way to go!
They don’t recommend you play the game AFK (away from the keyboard) as someone could come along and blow your ship to bits, and the Eve community generally hates AFK miners, but by running Eve windowed i’ve been able to still keep an eye on it while doing other things – such as blogging=) I mine in high security areas anyway, and I’m mining Scordite which is one of the most abundant ores you can find, so i’ts unlikely anyone would attack me. But still, I don’t like to leave my pc on and not use it as it seems such a waste (and it’s the rent’s ‘leccy bill anyway!)

Aww, don’t worry, I’ve had to compromise with what I’m wearing too, I would have loved to have worn a floor length ballgown! I suppose there will be other times when we can be really traditional/glamourous =D
